Good Neighbor Tips

Part of DAPA’s mission is to improve quality of living for all area residents. One way to do this is to foster good community relationships between neighbors. Many disputes between neighbors arise because of problems with trash, noise/parties and parking. By following these helpful tips, you can be a good neighbor to the community.

Trash & Recycling

Trash & Recycling day for most properties surrounding Drexel University is Monday morning. You can verify your trash pick-up day by visiting this website and entering your address.

Trash must be bagged and placed on the curb between Sunday at 7pm and Monday at 7am.

It is Philadelphia Law that you MUST recycle. The City will issues fines starting at $50 for not separating recycling from regular trash.

If you do not have a blue recycling bin, you can use any other plastic container as long as it is clearly labeled “recycling”.

All recyclables (paper, plastic, cans, and glass) can be put in the same container.

Visit the Philly Streets Department website for more info on what you can and cannot recycle and answers to other frequently asked questions regarding trash and recycling.

Did you know that the Student Code of Conduct applies to all part and full time students, as well as persons who are not officially enrolled for a particular semester or summer session but who are pursing a degree or otherwise have a continuing student relationship with the University?
