New Penn Hospital Building To Replace Penn Tower

A 21-floor, 343-foot new hospital building for the University of Pennsylvania Health System has been approved by the Philadelphia City Planning Commission to replace the 20-floor, 254-foot outdated Penn Tower. Penn Hospital’s $1.5 billion new patient pavilion designed by Foster + Partners will be constructed at 300 S. 33rd St. to help the patient admission process for neighboring medical facilities in the UPenn area of University City.
